Instrument Cluster

Hi All,

As i was driving this week i got a rear spoiler error in the centre display in the instrument cluster, 30 sec after the cluster flickered and kind of rebooted. Now when I turn on the key I get the image below, engine starts and sounds fine but cluster stays as per image with a red instead of orange in the centre display. Anyone seen the issue or can guide me what I can troubleshoot?
thanks

There are three connectors on the back of the cluster. My first step would be to verify that they are all connected. There are clips which lock them in place, but those do crap out over time (and depending on what MY you own, may be NLA).

The refresh clusters can have the connectors replaced with new VW units. Requires re-pinning but it’s straightforward.

At least I think I repinned mine, it was 3 years ago.
