Made that mistake with my whatever-brand-name brake bleeder. Worked great, but has been sitting for better than a year waiting for the next brake fluid replacement.

Hey Starter! It's been a while. I hope you've been well. IIRC, I got the idea of leaving the bleeder open from you. And someone else mentioned jacking up the back as high as I could when filling it.
