So being its one of the last nice days around chicago, I went with a buddy over lunch and gave it a shot. Being he used to drive a "racing blue" stcik shift escort I asked his advice and he said rev it up and pop out the clutch.

We found an empty street and gave it a shot. Here's where it gets weird, the engine was wailing and we felt a nice push back into our chairs but the car was just sitting there for the most part....not squeling, no tire skip, nothing.....we kind of laughed.....shrugged it off and gave it another shot.....this time we lurched forward slowly but not much to write home about.

My question to you is Daredevil or Dumba#$? Those who listen to a particular sports radio show in chi town will enjoy that.

But seriously, the question is what do you have to do to punch it? I mean the tires smelled like hell when we got out but nothing happened? Did I let the clutch out too slow? Any thoughts? Suggestions, and don't suggest DE because I already plan to go next year when it gets nice out again

there is a popular saying on another forum I frequent that people use when someone says something that makes no since. I feel compelled to use it here:

No gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?

All this means is, WTF? my friend smelled it but I couldn't....I guess cause he's 5'8 and I'm close to 6'2.
to tall to smell it?

good stuff.......it was essentially a joke....he smelled it I couldn't smell it until I I got down closer to the tires to see what he was talking about....but now that its in the garage with the doors closed, boy does it reek!

You should be very nice the rest of the year because Santa needs to bring you a new clutch. So, you need to be asking yourself..."am I on the nice list or the naughty list"?
