Dont worry, Ive done it too. It is the clutch, no ifs ands or buts. When I did it I revved it dropped the clutch and the car took off semi fast but the clutch was slipping all the way through. It is like a delicate balancing act. You give her too much gas your slipping to much, not enough and your not going as fast as you can. To tell you the truth, the fastest ive gotten off the line is by slipping the clutch, not dropping it. I am no car tester so im not going to rev it to 6 grand and slip it for a perfect launch, but i will rev it to 2 grand, start to slip while continuing with the gas, you let the momentum of revving it help you. So its like a floor it, almost instant clutch slipping, while letting off gradualy so you dont bog it down. Hope this helps.
