I have a Non-S boxster and i have only burned-out from a stop once, I let the RPMs goto 5k and popped the clutch quickly and that was is, I had some wheel hop but thats cause my struts are old. But it works, Dont bounce it off the redline... totally unnessary. But if you want your clutch to die quickly, you wont do that more than twice a year.

This is not the type of car you want to be burning out on.... The transmissions are relatively strong, but it's really not made for popping the clutch to launch the car. You'll regret it when you fry your clutch or flywheel or both and have to spend about $3k for a new setup. Doesn't mean that when your clutch is not a part of the equation (you're already in gear) you can't just stomp on the gas and learn how your car responds. I like to drive my car sideways through a turn from time to time....
