I tried finishing up a project today that started a while ago... Fitting a "9 drive" throttle modulator for a 987 in my 986. I bought a set of connectors from Jon (thanks Jon!) and sliced them into the gizmo according to wiring diagrams. Pretty straight forward - 2 pedal sensors, each with a 5v, gnd, and signal wire, with the "brain box" intercepting and modulating the sensor signals. The hardest part was letting straight the fact that the harness plugs into the pedal on a 987, where the pedal plugs into the harness on a 986.
That's where the success ended though. I hooked it up, did an ethrottle relearn procedure, shut it down, and then fired her up. Gas pedal is dead. Nada. Zip. So, I started all over. Pulled out the gizmo, hooked up the original connections, fired up er up, and the pedal worked fine. Rechecked the gizmo wiring, connectors, etc, everything looked good. Installed it again, did a throttle learn, and got nothing, again.
Anyone have any thoughts here? Assuming that my wiring is correct, is there a reason this should not work which I have overlooked?
