Need new transmission

So after 110,000 miles, the transmission gave up the ghost on my 2003 Boxster S. Any advice on where to get the best price on a replacement. I have a trusted shop, and they may be able to get it cheaper than I can, but figured I would ask here.

Have you checked CL or FB marketplace for someone parting one out?

CMS in Arizona has had some positive reviews on this forum for transmission rebuilds and repairs, if you're thinking of fixing yours.

Thanks guys. I’ll look into those. It’s not going to be cheap. Lol

There's a guy in Ohio that's turned parting out boxsters into a little side business. I've seen him on some of the facebook porsche groups but not on here surprisingly. Sorry I don't remember his name. I believe he just bought a wrecked low mile 6 speed boxster and is parting it out

Zeke Fultz is the Facebook guy in Ohio. He has a 65,000 mile Boxster S he is parting out, he has a post about it in the Porsche 986&996 buy/sell/trade group. I don't know him and haven't bought anything from him but his prices look reasonable on what I've seen him selling.
