Sale range for 99

I'm seeing the asking price really shoot up here, wondering if it's for real or not. I'm seeing a range of $15 - 17k and even higher for used. A couple of years back advise was I'd be lucky to get $10k.

I have a 99, 40k miles, original owner, paid $55k in excellent condition, IMS done last yr. artic silver, the good head lights, leather, wood and more steering wheel, maybe 1000 miles on pilot sports, new coolant, brake fluid, and rubber brake lines, clutch fluid bled, trans fluid replaced, bunch of stuff you'd expect for a well maintained auto.

Are our 99's actually selling for this increased price these days?

I hear prices are up, check out Bring A Trailer:

Your car is low enough miles and looks to be in good enough condition that it might do well on there.

Regards,

Silber

No idea what your car will bring but I am confident saying it is no longer a 10K car. Just saw a nice looking 2001 base car with 86K for sale by owner on CL for $15K.

I paid 10k for my 99 back in Dec and, at the time, thought I'd overpaid a little. 63.5k miles, Arena Red, new top, new tires, spotless interior. I just had a minor paint correction done and as I picked it up they couldn't believe i only paid 10k, they just did another guy's 99 and said it was in much worse shape and he paid 16.5k for it.

Given the shape yours appears to be in, you should be able to get top dollar. Winter is coming soon though, and prices normally dip on verts, but with the used car market out of control it may just keep going up. I'd think 17k would be the low end for you right now.

Well I posted it on CL the other day for $16k and have received a lot of interest. Local guy wants to see it tonight, and a couple of out of state (not too far) are talking about the weekend.

Told you 17k would be the low end lol! In any case, GLWS. It looks like a well cared for car.

Boxster for sale

The auction posted is a great example of that should be included in the photos:
both keys, both sides (learned the hard way)
instrument LCD's lit up (some know it all commented it was just a bulb out in the photo, have the new LCD to fix)

So if you can check these boxes your car should do quite well. Prices are going up.

Compare your car to the auction cars and see what are reasonable prices. good luck
