Yep, it was the CV joint that came undone from the tranny - and it was JUST replaced - the mechanic who replaced it clearly didn't secure it properly. All resolved finally. I'm assuming if one of the drive axles (there are 2 on the boxster) loses connection, the other does as well? Anyone know?
