Airbag light on

For a moment, I forget to disconnect the battery before proceeding to remove the deactivation bar. Now the light is on. Is it only the dealer can reset the light if I reinstall the bar? Or a shop can reset the light?

You can if you have a Porsche specific scan tool (Durametric, PST II, PIWIS), otherwise it is off to someone that does.

If I dont reinstall the bar, can the tool reset the light or a trip to the dealer is required?

Depends upon what the Porsche specific scan tool finds; it is just a fault because of the bar, probably not; but if something needs to be coded to allow the removal of the bar, you will need the factory scan tool.
