Levels of trim and extras question

How do you tell what level of trim a car has that you’re looking to buy? Is it a case of asking a seller or is there another way to know what level of trim and or extras a car has?

The information at this link may help. Starting in the 2000 model year, the 986 came in base and S variants. The major differences were the larger engine, 6 speed transmission, larger brakes and different suspension in the S. Other options were selected by buyer or dealer. There are no trim lines as in the Asian imports.

I hope this helps.

Ahhh okay I did wonder and wasn’t sure. I sat in a friends Boxster S yesterday and it did not have electronic control to move the seat forward or reverse, it just had a mechanical lever you had to pull, whereas mine, a non-S has the electric control 🤷****♂️

Garage
There is a sticker under the front trunk lid that will have a series of codes that correspond to various options that will tell you what extras the car came with.
