To me it looks like they open the trunk of the 2021 model yet they end up looking into the trunk of the 986... that trunk lid is magical.

Notice that the windscreen behind the driver seat hoop was dislodged to begin with, then jay lost it during driving…. What a shame to show off the 25 anniversary model and Porsche engineering did not fix that issue yet and you would still need a couple of zip ties.

I agree with Jay, the curves of the 986 (based on the 550 Spyder) are timeless and look less cluttered. It's unfortunately that to be new, they have to constantly "update" the design, the original design is fantastic, but then this is 986forum and I have a 986.

Also, the original 986 trunk will fit a set of golf clubs, unlike the 718 (according to the Porsche rep in the video). And they definitely cut to the 986 trunk when they are showing the 718 trunk.

HA! I was wondering how similar that trunk was to mine! I didn't dawn on me that it was not the 718 trunk!

Also did you notice, while Leno is touting Porsche's build quality, you can see that the screen behind his head is loose? And eventually after 16:50 is was gone completely! haha!

EDIT: Boxstard mentioned it before be.

That`s embarassing, lol.. Those things rattle in mine too, still in place after 22 years though. To be fair, mine has much less power and poor acceleration compared to this one in the video, that must be the reason

I had a chance to meet Jay last year, albeit only for about 5 minutes. He is exactly what everyone says he is, a super nice and down-to-Earth guy. I was disappointed in this video, I was really hoping he would take the 986 for a spin; I would love to hear his impression of it.
