996.1 MK1 GT3 Front Bumper

Does anyone know what material the OEM GT3 996.1 aero kit front bumper is made from?

And does anyone know where I can purchase the same style aftermarket bumper with using that same material or something similar. All I can see out there is fibreglass/Carbon Fiber.

Not sure if this is what you're talking about but KBD makes it and its polyurethane.

I know about that one already. I am dead set on the aero style and anything aftermarket is fibreglass or carbon Fiber. OEM new is way too much and tough to find used OEM. Unless anyone knows of a supplier that provides poly in that style.

No the ones I've seen are all FRP. Looks like you're gonna have to buy a new or used OEM.

That KBD bumper really updates the car! How was the fit, and did it bolt right up, or were there any headlight/marker light changes required?

LOL it said OEM. I would think OEM would be polyurethane and a bargain at that price. That's probably why it's been removed.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the following part numbers?

99650598003G2X
99650598002G2X

002 says it fits a 97 Boxster. 003 says it fits a 2000 Boxster S. Don’t they have the same headlights?

002 says GT3 Front Bumper. 003 says street. They look the same from what I can see. Also 003 is much cheaper.

Anyone have any experience with this?

The last 2 digits are always revision numbers so 03 would be newer then 02

Went onto a few U.S based sites and it shows that 003 will fit a 2000 Boxster S but not the regular Boxster. Aren’t the bodies the same?

What I do notice is that the S has a hole in the middle and the regular Boxster doesn’t.

The 002 Bumper doesn’t have a hole and the 003 does.

Theoretically would you not be able to install the 003 on a 2000 or below regular Boxster. What does that hole represent?

The extra center " hole " is for the S center radiator .

So technically that 003 part bumper can fit on a base Boxster. There will just be a hole but no centre radiator. And by that theory it would fit on any Boxster 97 to 04. Am I correct?
