Convertible top does not Go down

I just got a 2007 Boxster S and the Top went down properly yesterday, but today the top does not go down automatically, the metal cover at the back goes up and then comes down but does not bring down the soft top

It s a brand new car and i am not sure if something is already broken in the convertible top mechanism. Did anybody experience this? any ideas?

All other electronics are working fine

The car is amazing but the convertibel top issue in 3rd day of ownership is kinda sad

Any help will be appreciated. I will call the dealer tomorrow for sevice

It's fully unlached, right? Stupid question, but hey, I thought I'd ask.

It's off to the dealer you go... they'll fix you right up and hopefully, give you a nice Cayman to drive while you're waiting.

Randall,
It is fuly unlatched as I have been able to put the top down several times friday and saturday. Only today for some reason today when it was tryng to open the top I heard some noise from the folding mechanism, may be the pulleys attached to the top have detached themselves etc

Donno but kinda bumed that it is a brand new Boxster S and I have to go the dealer already fo get the roof mechanism fixed
