Agreed. Pressure testing is the quickest way to find most coolant leaks. Mine turned out to be the bleeder valve.

It looks like the plastic has turned yellow. Originally it's white. Even if it isn't cracked now, it's days are numbered and you'd be best off replacing the whole tank at a time of your choice (soon) rather than leaving the timing to fate.

My 98's tank "gave up the ghost" last year due to tiny spider cracks on the bottom that would expand once the coolant got hot and the pressure began to build. Once it cooled down the cracks would close up and it wouldn't leak..........$875 later (spent with my "indi" mechanic) I got a new Porsche brand tank, hoses and clamps installed.
