What a great day !
Took an amazing 2 hour drive in the country today.
Beautiful day, sunny and high 50's.
Me, the Box, my girl, and some great tunes on the Ipod.
Never got the top down, didn't break any land speed records, just enjoying the car, rowing through the gears, and reminding myself how lucky I am to own such a wonderful automobile.
Ready to go back to work tomorrow with a smile on my face
Porsche - There is no substitute !
Have a great week everyone...
Nick

Good for you, Nick. Know the feeling exactly!
Too bad I couldn't drive mine this weekend.

funny...me and wifey did the same thing last saturday. 2 hours drive in the backroads that I didn't even know exist. We went right after we celebrated my daughters 19th b-day. Weather is great, about 72 degrees...after reading Nicks thread, i feel ashamed to my self by taking the turns in the back roads like it was a straight line....I could have done it during club runs but not with the wifey who would have enjoyed the rest of the trip till i start getting carried away hugging the turns Yah, i admit...she kinda get upset at me after, i accidentaly took the 32miles of never ending twist and turns ...that's me being a selfish guy...but i made it up to her by spending the rest of the day today with her and at the same time doing laundry...hehehehehe!
off the record....' those turns are freaking awesome! for you who knows Hwy.9/ Skyline Dr./ Ben Lomond/ Hwy. 236 back to Hwy1...you know what I'm talking about.
Good job, nick for enjoying the box with out breaking any land speed

It was beautiful in Chicagoland, wasn't it? My fiance and I took a early morning drive to Starved Rock. There was no one on the twisty roads down there so it was a blast driving the Box.
We should have had a video camera because the drive was like an advertisement. Picture this: The trees were all different colors, orange and yellow leaves covering the road, and a dark green Boxster goes shooting through some very tight twisty roads. A perfect morning.

Glad you were able to enjoy the day with the Box and the future Mrs. NickCats!
I spent a good part of my day watching da Bears whoop up on the 49ers.
I'm hoping to get out after work today and put the top down and put some miles on my car in the same fashion that you did!

Chills,
I was by Starved Rock as well ! I know what you mean by "advertisement"
Bmuss,
Wish I could, but unfortunately I'm stuck at work today. At least I can look forward to a top down drive home
Sammy,
Enjoy ! It might be the last good day of the year

Great minds think alike, Nick.
I'm also looking foward to the top-down drive home from the Naperville Metra station to my house.... I might take the long way.
