Identify where the Porsche Badge belongs?

I have just tried to upload 2 pictures of a small Porsche emblem given to me by a friend. He picked it up in a junk yard 30 plus years ago. I was hoping some one could identify the model it was originally on. He said it was on the center console, and flipped open to uncover a locking key cylinder.
