When I bought my wife’s Boxster S I picked up the info on this Forum relating to the IMS problem and the suggestion about keeping up the rpm’s and not loading the engine.

My wife drives around in no higher than 4th gear unless on the highway.
Uses a bit more fuel but less expensive than a rebuild.

Just turned over 200000 km a few weeks ago and still running well on Elf 5W40.

Don’t ask me how she managed to take the pix at that moment.

Thanks for the advice.
