Floor mat question

Hi. My 986 is affectionately referred to as Mrs. Peel, for the character from the old TV show, The Avengers.

As an early Xmas gift, my spouse bought me floor mats for the Box that say Mrs. Peel on them. Woohoo!

(Sorry for the dirty car!)

She got the lettering in the rare "unicorn" color of my car (Ocean Jade Metallic), but she could not find the piping around the edge of the mat to match. They had the right color thread at Lloyd Mats, but not the piping material for some reason. So they just have black piping.

So my question is does anyone know where (or if) it is possible to find the "Ocean Jade" greenish-teal piping fabric for floor mats?

Stupid question, I know, but hey, chicks, right?

Have you tried Michaels or a sewing/crafts store? Do you know of an upholstery shop that could sew it on?

Yes.
Google search of "piping" under the shopping tab turned up this:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/763747135/wrights-pc303-maxi-piping-piping-cord?gpla=1&gao=1&variation0=1265962366

Judging from the pics, looks like 1242 is a close match. However, I don't know if it's durable enough for floor mats. I would think the upholstery shop would have better leads on sources.

Porsche Mats have velcro to prevent the mats from sliding under the brake pedal. Hopefully your mats have something similar !

I bought a new set from Sunset, and they came with new plastic velcro pads that screw into the carpet.

I tell you they sure spiff up the interior.
