The link below is to the only company, that I could find, that sells a kit that comes with the centering brackets. They also sell just the centering brackets if you want to make up your own kit. They are needed to replace the factory bowls so the projector will be centered. If you dont care about a shroud you can mount any projector in the factory bowls.

Left: factory bowl with generic xenon projector, not able to center.
Right: With centering bracket, about $30 if ordered alone, adds room for larger projector and Panamera shrouds.

Where did you buy the centering bracket?

I bought them through these guys but I had to specifically ask about them through their messaging system. I think they were about $40 a set.

Opened at headlight today. 13 minutes in my box oven. Getting the lens off, 4 min and 38 seconds. Not bad. 😁

What do you think of silver instead of black internals?

Awesome! Would you have tips on painting? I had headaches with my projector install this week and gave up on spending any more time painting but now that everything is fixed, maybe I’ll give it a go..

My story-
Was going to work with 996retro but by the time I was ready this thread popped up so I purchased from retrofitslab.

My high and lo beam never worked so after reading the forums I bought both a light switch and ignition switch to perform my install all at same time.

Took me 30 min to pry the first one out but 5 min for the second with more confidence. 23 min in the oven at 220.

After installing everything my hi and low beams did not work- only angel eyes. Bit more than I can chew and thought I did a horrible job wiring the lights. Gave up last Sunday and brought it into mechanic.

My mistake was not fixing the original problem so they weren’t sure where to start. $1300 later, they replaced the combination switch and told me the light switch I bought (from eBay) was also broken

Picking it up in 4 hours with the headlights still unsealed. I learned that I suck at being a car guy. Never worked on cars and bought this one at the start of covid to learn as my pandemic project.

Mechanic also told me other things are broken so what I thought was a great deal on the car is starting to turn into a money pit. Not sure I have confidence to replace all those problems and may shell out the $1600 estimate. I do love the car though! No regrets.
