Exclamation '99 986 Airbag Codes

Hi Everyone;

Got a 986 from the salvage yard a year ago. Fixed it up very well but i got airbag codes 23 and 25 something about exceeding limits. I just bought new retractors and can not reset/erase the code.

Appreciate any ideas..

Thanks and safe driving

Fit

I believe those codes will need to be reset via dealer, high end indy shop or the DIY Durametric software.

I took it to EUROFED which i think is highend. The tech said they could not reset it unless they did extensive diagnostics $$$$$$$$$$. He suggested I disconnect the battery and put the two cables together to erase the codes. Seems dangerous to me but.

We use it almost exclusively on customer's cars, works fine.

So the concensus is to go to a dealer to check the codes? Has anyone had this fixed diy. I had the faulty seatbelt/retractror code before and replaced both retractors brand new and now got this message,,
