I DID!

Actually mine didn't come with a key fob, so I never bothered. But, I actually believed that there could be a barcode under the seat! I mean, the Immobilizer is there, so why not a barcode? HAHA You got me!

Dude!!

You know... I would have done the same thing. Probably would have pulled the seat "knowing" that I could save a couple hundred dollars in dealer fees.

key troubles

my Boxster was purchased with just one 3 button key. When I found t wasn't working assumed, new battery. popped the case open only to find one of the contacts for the button was broken off on the circuit board. I have been to every locksmith in town & no one can help. they all said the Porsche dealer was my only choice. come on man... this is America there has got to be someone that can assist in making it come alive. Anybody have any connections?

I repaired both of my fobs by purchasing new micro switches and soldering them in. This was back on 2015 IIRC. I don’t recall the vendor but I know they came from England. I believe I paid less than 20 bucks for 6 switches. The postage to get them here was about the same amount.

Search the forum, somewhere in here is a how to.
