[QUOTE=Perfectlap]I just scribbled this freehand. I wanted the 986 to double as the grills.
Couldn't decide which wheels to fill in, the Carrera 5 spoke or the ones on
'93 concept car....Damn. forgot to add the GT3 seats

Geez,

I like 'em all. I'm so confused.

I'd vote for the Carrera five spokes. The '93 wheels are so...well, '93.

You take the blue decal and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.

You take the red decal and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

Remember -- all I am offering is the truth, nothing more.

I'm not putting any decals or stickers on my car.
I even wish I could get rid of the DMV sticker on my windshield.

OK - Window sticker order is cancelled

Well - I'm taking my marbles and going home to sulk now. As I surmised there will be too many opinions on what is tasteful, acceptable, reasonable cost, line/noline, picture/no picture, white letters/dark background, dark letters/ white background, letters only and on and on.

Options:

- Everyone can just go and do their own decals, stickers, etc for $1 ea as KronixSpeed suggests. ...or

-You guys should take a poll to see what the favorite is so far. Then do a poll to see if it should be a decal or bumper sticker or window sticker, etc. Then we need a poll to see what you'd be willing to pay. My deadline for you is November 15th.

If that all gets done by that timeline and there is a clear consensus (2/3) majority on all these dimensions, then I will work to make it happen.

Let's make this happen then. It seems to me we'll need two polls if we're to get to your 2/3 consensus.

OK so set it up.

I think it first needs to be determined where the sticker/decal would go and what size it should be. If it's going to go on the car and especially if it's on glass it should be a single color with no shading, then it can be a cut decal.

I think the picture ones are good for t-shirts and regular stickers but this thread seemed to be more focussed on a simple decal to get the name of the forum out there.

For my $0.02 I think it should be line art, no wider than the bottom of the windstop and not too tall, it should be either just the URL and maybe a footnote or incorporate a line art image of a Boxster.

A spoiler sticker, if people are that committed, is just as easy to set up, I just ordered a sheet of custom spoiler stickers for someone else.

If there is to be only one sticker I'd start the poll on how big it should be and where you'd be willing to stick it (humorous responses welcome).

Looks great so far guys! Similar designs to the Vertex auto logo as well..
I am not saying we need something completely origonal, but unique would be
nice.

I like this one so far! http://i11.tinypic.com/4dr7ocj.jpg

Maybe, we can work a simple black Porsche emblem in there somewhere...
what do you think?

Not without Porsche's legal group getting upset!

That design looks too much like RennTech's too.

I appreciate all the creativity and suggestions from the forum members. You guys are why this forum is the best.

Rich and I have spoken and here are our thoughts:
- some owners love them and some wouldn't even consider a decal/sticker on their car
- we'll never come up w/ something that pleases everyone
- we won't ask a member to do any production or fulfillment
- it has to be a worthwhile endeavor for us (yes, meaning profitable)

So I've ordered some tastefully sized window stickers (2"h x 3" w):
- 50 blue
- 50 red

Here are the designs and the cost is $6 ea (includes shipping). Paypal to 986forum@comcast.net

I would be happy to support the forum with a sticker - some of the suggestions look great. It just feels a little off though putting a 986 sticker on a 987. Still, I guess if we have as much street-cred as we think we do, anyone who would notice the difference in model designations would know of our forum...

I forgot to mention: indicate in the PayPal comments section if you want red or blue.
