Mine was like that when I bought it. It has a bad immobilizer. My locks and interior lights didn't work either.

Check to see if water got into your immobilizer under the driver's seat.

I easily replaced both switches in the center console (98') and all is good. Easy job by just working from the top, no special tools or skill required.

I would like to stop my window's from automatically going up when I lock the top down ...Any chance of that happening,.??
