Will 987 lowering springs work on a 986S strut?

Like the subject line says, would 987 Techart lowering springs work on an OEM 986S strut?

Have a great deal on a new set from a local tuner on a set. And am curious if these might work.

I don't think so, the distance between the lower spring perch and strut top is shorter in front on 987 and unsure which way on the back. To get an idea, check out the Ohlins road and track instructions, the 986 and 987 use the same kit, but the Ohlins has independent ride height adjustment and the lower collars have different ranges, you may be able to get an idea of the height differences from there.

But.... I don't know for sure having never tried it

Thanks for the response and resources to review. Looks like you are right. Differences def exist.

As it happens, I was able to find a set of 986 Eibachs at a much better price and will go with those.
