Original silver on the wheels looks much better. Same thing for the GT2 on the pic.
IMO, painted wheels very rarely work and when they do it's only for a specific design and usually painted black or dark grey (on black or silver cars) -- even then for not much extra effect. One more comment, amber lights actually look quite nice (and warm) with the (warm) brown interior and the green body on your Box.

But taste is personal. If it looks better to you, paint them.

To each his own, but my answer to your question is to leave them as they are. Car looks much better with all-silver turbo twist wheels IMO. Now if you switched wheel types to a design that was a 2 or 3 piece and the centers were black, that would be a different discussion.

I like it! Add the colored center caps and the whole car will look less plain old stock if you will.
Although I think painting the wheels dark grey/gun instead of green might look good too. The white RS 911's have red or blue wheels for a similar contrast.

Monochromatic schemes to work well with warmer colors like orange and bordeaux red like on the Lambos.

I personally love different looking wheels. Ultimately, you have to be happy. Who cares what others think?

Bmus, I am definately on your side. I never understood what the attraction to black wheels would be, but like you said "to each his own". There are only three accessories a man should own:

1. A watch
2. Good pair of shoes
3. A vehicle

All these come with personal tastes. If you like black wheels then go for it. I personally don't like them, but while I am getting a back ache and busting my knuckles trying to clean out the brake dust...you will be doing more important things like....driving.
