Floor Mats Anybody?
My 2003 Boxster S that I am repairing (I bought it from an auction) didn't come with Floor mats - probably stolen at Copart!
My question is, does anyone have any recommendations for new ones? Should I get them at the dealer or is there some other custom solution that you guys could recommend?

My new (to me) 981 had hideous Porsche rubber mats and I bought a set of Cocomats (not really cheap BTW) but the quality is great and they look awesome as they match the red interior.

If you look at the carpet close to the seat there should be a 3" diameter velcro disc, that helps keep the OE Porsche mats from moving. That's one of the reasons I prefer OE Mats.

a couple small pieces of strategically placed 'loop' portion of self adhesive velcro strips let you easily to upgrade to much plusher Lloyds mats. Having a tendency to always add overkill, I'll also dab a few drops of superglue before placing on back of the Lloyd mats for good measure. None have ever come loose even w/ track use (shhhh... I forgot to remove after tech inspection even though I promised
Of course newer cars of all makes have the legally inspired [read: nanny state mandated] j-hook style mats which barely even get within spitting distance of the pedals these days
Good luck

I personally don't like Lloyds, not as good as they advertise for "OEM" fit.
Also, sorry Pelican, just giving options.

I agree with Coco Mats!
Don't have them for my P car, but bought them for my Audi; they are awesome. If I didn't have original P car mats, I would definitely go with Cocomats!

Coco Mats. Great looking, tough as nails, don't show dirt, and have been equipping Porsches since the 356. Go to any gathering of classic Porsches and look inside - you'll see a ton of them. Have them in both Porsches.

I also have Coco mats in mine and love them . As already stated they have been around forever and wear like iron . Lots of patterns/colors available .

I have a black OEM set from my 04 Boxster. Drivers side shows some wear. You can have them cheap if you want them.

I have tan, blue, grey and black but no red. Red is rare.

Total newb move to jump on someone else’s thread, but if those tans are close to my sweet Savannah Beige interior, I might like a set.

... says the fella with 21 posts... and ~one month new.
With all due respect, Itsnot has been around a while... sells parts heavily discounted and, I believe, his post wasn't an intrusion so much as an offer to help to, you know, assist our members.
Maybe when you've a few more posts under your belt... and in whichever manner serves some of our members... you'll establish some leeway. We're all fairly much cool.
Yes, it's after 430... 6... in the morning. I've earned it. After joining the forum I reserved my smartass comments until I knew who were the primary contributors on these pages.
In any event, welcome to the forum!
