new key remotes lose programming

yes as to OEM........i purchased thru an authorized shop, not a new vehicle dealer, just service and used sales.......it was end of day and they told me they needed to do research......they opted to order a new key to see if it will program....if not then they will also replace the fobs........from what i am seeing via research, this is a fairly common problem with porsche......yes/no?.......
