I am right in thinking?
I am right in thinking that the boxster S was only a 3.2? I ask only because whenever I put my reg into anything online it says its a 2.7 boxster S. I'm guessing this is just someone's typing error?
Cheers

Only 3.2 for 986 S.
I believe the VIN has an identifier for it being an S car
There are other tell tale things that an S motor has.
Taller Oil cooler/exhanger
(2) runners on the intake
Center radiator

Questions.
So... the S. 2 runners on the intake. Could you install S manifolds on the 2.5? Would the addition of the extra runner on the intake make a positive difference? That's without any other changes. Same 2.5 throttle body... just a double runner on the intake.
I'm curious about that. Thanks!

Different colored gauge faces were optional for base, too.

Ok thanks guys, I did read the S came with leather seats but I suppose it must have been an optional extra on the standard as well as mine are full leather.
As I thought, it must be a typo error by whoever added it to the database
Cheers

If the fifth letter in your vin is an A, it's a base model. If the fifth letter is a B, it's an S.

Is it a tiptronic auto? They often get mislabelled as S as there is a Tiptronic S.
