Dead battery - car tow

I've been reading this morning and ran accross some threads about towing the 986. I found that if the battery is completely dead... the Tiptronic transmission won't be operable. If this is correct...

I suppose a tow truck driver could juice up the dead battery/install a temp. Absent that... how would you move the shift lever to neutral? Is there a hidden switch? A panel to remove to access the/a switch?

Also... Focke had a .pdf upon his site that was published by AAA on how to properly tow thge 986. That link is dead. Any special tips for a tow truck driver in the event a tow is necessary?

Thank you.
