Angry Avoid this EBAY vendor like the plague

Bought a set of tailights on EGAY from AIMSPOT2000. Lights were total junk and after getting them to take them back, the guys kept my money.

EGAY and Paypal are useless.

I am never using these services again.

Spread the word, AIMSPOT2000 is the worst.

The last time I had bad experience similar to yours I emailed every single one of his bidders that the seller was a crook (back then you could also cc the seller) for about a month (I'm tennacious!). Even the though the seller was from AUSTRALIA I got a refund in full. If I didn't care about my account I would have also made every instant purchase available so that he would get a bill from Ebay for their commision of seller's fees. So many ways you can screw with sellers on Ebay...

Ebay are indeed useless they are nothing more tha a virtual newspaper classified that the world has a subscription to. ZERO accountability for all the fencing of stolen goods, shoddy goods and non-existent goods. They may be the only company in the Nasdaq 100 who are allowed to exist without having a simple 1 800 number that you can call, unless you are a powerseller of course. How in the world did Ebay get away with continuing to enjoy this exception? I could understand making this exemption before it became a company with a bazillion dollars but enough is enough already.

Many people in law enforcement have been making this complaint for YEARS. Every state has laws regulating pawn shops because of the abuse of stolen goods to fences. Ebay is the world's unregulated fence. Completely legal.
Absolutely no accountability. Only plausible deniability.

Angry

I could not agree more. The thing with this guy is that he is NOT collecting sales tax on intrastate sales in CA.

I already emailed him that I am going to report him to the Sales Tax folks and I will follow through. Hopefully, his scam will cost him big time.

I may also be able to nail him in small claims court here in SD. I could make him come down here to answer the complaint.

I am a pisser when I am screwed!

And as soon as this is resolved, I am quiting EGAY and PayPal.

Once is a mistake, twice is stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In eBay's defense, I've completed over 400 transactions buying and selling and only had two bad experiences. One the buyer didn't pay so I sold to the next lowest bidder. The second the seller was a drop shipper and the item had been discontinued. It took three months to finally get my money back. 99.95% success rate is pretty darn good so eBay is still my favorite place to buy/sell things.

Brucelee - One thing you can try if the seller has a regular website is filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. You can also mention it to Square Trade if they are a member. I did those two things in addition to the eBay and PayPal routes. I was too late for the eBay and PayPal reconcilliation (make sure you start the complaints within 45 days to get your money back) but after getting several complaints from the BBB and Square Trade following up, the seller finally refunded my money.

As mentioned earlier, eBay is just like an online classified. Just as the local paper cannot possibly check out every person advertising in their classifieds, eBay can't do it either but they do have the feedback system to help out some if you know how to use it. Don't just take a 99% good feedback rating as nothing will happen. Read through the seller's past week's feedback and see what happened. There are several drop shippers (like the one I delt with) who get 200+ feedback's per day so even with a few bad ones they still have a high feedback rating. This gives them the opportunity to ignore any problems, mostly because they are a nuisance with over 200 transactions per day and will go away without much complaint. It's buyer beware so if you're not comfortable with it, like Brucelee says, don't use it.
