Vanes are "S-curved". Vanes are past the oil pick-up screen. Get a look at the bottom of your canister. Broken vanes?

And I didn’t know that. And Ive torn apart a few of these engines. As P-wave said, good sleuthing! I use the spin-on filter so I don’t have these.

If you need a new filter housing, I might have one you can have gratis. I upgraded to the a spin on filter housing. I can check in a few days. I would gladly pass it on.

Another thing to note, is all of those pieces are the exact same size and shape. Can’t believe they went through the entire oil system and wound up like that. Time to drop your oil pan as well. See if you have anything else in there.

No need to pull the pan if these were all in the oil filter housing.

Those vanes get brittle over time - either buy a new one from Pelican, change the oil and move on, or, buy a fancy LN spin-on adapter.

Either way...I bet you're relieved!

So my wife is right, I need to read things more carefully. Oil filter housing. Huh. I saw oil pan and assumed something else. Chain rail parts wouldn’t likely be found in the oil filter housing! Sorry for misleading you at first.

All is good I was enjoying a Gyros en Pita at Souvlaki 7 in ST. Sauveur last night while you guys were investigating LOL
