Haven't had anyone give me any crap for a couple days so...

I thought I'd post some pics of the spoiler I'm working on. Not fitted, not adjusted, not painted, just taped on. 😀 |

How about a view from behind? Do you envision painting it red? or leaving it Black?

I like the style, but I think it needs to go forward a bit.
I also think it looks good black...nice contrast. |

It's just sitting there. It's heigh adjustable and forward and back. I'll have to play with the placement. I just wanted to see if It would work. It's hard to find one that will fit. The legs were too short so I had to cut them off and make new ones
Here's what it was and a back view. It's crooked because the bolt aren't tight.

Sometimes more is just more, I think your car looks GREAT without the spoiler! But I have enjoyed watching as you modify it👍🏻

It needs a bumperette delete. ...and one of those aftermarket rear diffuser thingies. It will look wrong until you do that.

I like it without the spoilers too but I've got a new front bumper on the way and I need to balance out the under bite. 👇. When its painted red and adjusted to the lowest possible point without hitting, tilted down in the front it will blend in and not look so large 😉

I really have enjoyed watching you and guys like BRAN modify these cars. You guys are artists and really do some amazing work. I really envy your skills.
Not taking anything away but I kind of agree with A8ked in that it seems like once the modding starts there is no end. Kind of like an old heavy weight champion that doesn't know it's time to get out of the ring. Quit while you are ahead and believe me, you guys are waaaayyy ahead.

I'm impressed. Have you thought about removing the roof and doing some mods as a convertible? I love seeing the creativity. Keep it up.

My problem with spoilers (wings) is that they don't do anything on a street car. Hence too much by racer for me. Same with aftermarket exhaust with crappy resonance that make driving the car no fun.

That being said I applaud your efforts and I think your car looks great and you've done a wonderful job with your mods. You are obviously enjoying your car and THAT is what it's all about.
 Mod on!!

I think your car looks great and clean absent the spoiler/wing.
I'm not a fan of all that hardware holding it to the trunk lid. To my eyes it looks rather clunky. If it was a solid, one-piece spoiler/wing it would look so clean. And red... definately paint that red if you're going to leave it on.

That said... I must say that your car, especially in red... looks very sophistcated. Clean. Polished.

 Cheers!

Time to sell and get a GT4. It seems that's the look your going towards.
I'm with the the earlier thought that wings are for high speed, otherwise it's really just show. I'm also old and old school. I do think that front bumper is the bomb. I like that. The 986 needs something chin spoilerish.

Does your stock spoiler still work?
I can feel that one actually work at 75 mph. When I have a full tank of gas on the hwy, as soon as I hit 75, I can feel the car is a bit more planted.

Your car, your hard work, enjoy it any way you want

It's for looks. I've probably only gone fast enough to make the stock one go up maybe twice since I've owned it. 😉

In the end its mounted where it can be. Had to avoid curves and bulges in hatch. Had to find a flat area for both legs. Now to get it painted. |

Red wing and car lowered an inch (i liked a golden brown color tone while matching the red).
Wings are out of the question for me living in ze TÜV land and driving on ze Autobahn. But go for it.
