Key fob just quit working

My only key fob quit locking/unlocking my doors and also no longer opens the rear trunk on my 2000 986. The fob still blinks (somewhat rapidly) when i press the unlock button. It has a different pattern of blinking when pressing the trunk release - always has though.

I took the fob to an outoparts store That has a Fob tester. It shows that it is not producing a signal even thought the light on the fob works. Tried a new battery - same result. What are my options to try and revive my one and only Fob? Thanks!

same with my key fob and since the remote is not working, i just use the key to manually open my door. A member here can fix the electronic inside your key. But not sure if he still accept repair because he is not responding lately. I want to send mine too.
