Want my honest opinion?
Hate it.
All of it.
Stupid.
Poor execution of a stupid idea.
That stupid handle on the otherwise factory dash? Yeah..... the whole thing is stupid.

Took me a while to remember where I had seen it posted. I like some of the elements of it.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-Porsche-Boxster-custom-550-Spyder-/173262070838?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l44720

It was built by L1ttleBastard and his father according to this post:
What did you find on CL today?

Proportions are way off with that front end and I am not a fan of sticking unnecessary bits on an already perfect car. As our architect used to say, "truth in materials," those leather trunk hinges don't do anything, that gas cap doesn't do anything, it's like an expensive version of sticking some magnetic air vents on your car.

Not for me, but if it makes the owner happy then who cares.

Ahhhhh..... love that word: "rare".

So I've looked again, and the only leather items I can see on the car that my own car doesn't have, are the leather "hinges" on the trunk. Does that mean mine is also "rare"?
Which items are you talking about?

The worst part is pumping all the water out of the rear trunk when it rains. Soggy luggage is a bstard.

Non-issue... there's a liner 'tray w/ gutter downspout plumbing' in one of the pix. Very much like the bed hard cover on my F150. Occasionally a couple drops get thru in heavy storms from the gutters being overwhelmed but the surface area on my F150 is about 100x bigger whilst the 'gutters' are probably smaller - LOL. So it should be fine from functionality standpoint...

considering when this was done...

This was done maybe 20 years ago? We're all a bit jaded since then and if done today would be done better with more finesse I assume. Headlights off my Mom's '99 E320? There are better donor lights today, as an example.

Unfortunately no but I do have factory leather cubby and dash wings on each side of radio with the buttons in it. I keep looking for the vents. A full leather steering wheel would be nice like my sons factory leather/carbon wheel.

I like it. Nice looking retro car. $37k, no way. I'd still rather have a much newer, much more advanced Boxster. Bigger, more powerful engine and better transmissions would be nice.

More money than sense in this project.
