Rewiring head lights

I have a spare set of headlights I decided I want to refurbish starting with the wiring. I am stuck at how to remove the connector in the pictures attached. On the bottom-outside picture, the connector is broken.

1. How do I separate the connector in the picture?
2. Is there a source for replacing the connector that is broken?

Please advise.

Most of the electrical connectors in these cars are VW items (Porsche does not sell them separately). Unless the connector is unusable, you really do not need to replace it, just rewire it using a terminal release tool to pop each pin out, then install a new wire into the pin, and reinstall the pin.

Garage
Should be able to find the VW (or MB or BMW) part number on the plug.

Also can download the 964 PET, which has a huge catalog of various plus and pins along with their respective part number.
