KRAM36, here you go.
MichaelV, glad to see I'm not the only one with snow in the background, we're supposed to get 8+" by Friday. I like the change of seasons, but it is spring already!

A quick shot of them in combination with Seal Grey. I personally would like a silverish frame better, but they still look awesome. Compared to the old tail lights, which give the Boxster a "round" and "smooth" old-school appearance, these new 718 style tail lights do indeed change the rear a lot...and not in a bad way.
Quality check:
Perfect fit --> OEM 4mm gaps possible \/ check
Cracks --> absolute flawless, I only saw two rougher Inch long areas, where they brake the plastic molds...not noticeable and can be easily cured \/ check
Functionalty --> good visiblity at day time, including the blinkers \/ check
Parking Lights --> the long light bar, not the little corner piece \/ check
Fog Lights --> Just one, left side corner light, brightness...uhm… = could be better
Btw, I have those cable adaptors, too. I came to the conclusion, that they are not needed for extension or wrong wiring...but for LHD and RHD determination...I am pretty sure that UK etc will have different one for the right fog light to light up. So, if we could get a UK Version cable extension for the right tail light, the 2nd fog light might light up as well. JUST A THEORY.

Hi BRAN! I'm looking to buy those lights in europe (I'm from sweden). Did you buy yours at sw-tuning? I cant find them in the web shop? I have ordered before from them, so it would be great if they have them..

Hi Mhunter, yes I did. I don't find them at all at the moment...which is kinda weird.
I remember, that a Swedish shop was offering them, too...when they first were shown, but sorry, don't have that link handy at the moment.
Maybe eBay, direct import from Taiwan?

Ok! I might ask sw-tuning, if they can offer them. Yes, I saw that swedish shop"Turnclear" have them, but it seems to be an old site? I have sent mail but no answer.
Is yours non-tinted and the "rear light part" is red plastic (even when no power is on) as in the picture? Because I have seen different versions, with all clear or all tinted... (the other picture)

non-tinted with red tail lights, black frame (clear frame wasn't offered, but like the black frame now)
One thing would be cool if you are going to ask: If we could activate the right fog light with a UK adaptor and if they would be available?

Too bad, it seems hard to find those taillights here in sweden or in europe. Both the swedish shop Turnclear and german SW-tuning says it was a limited sale
From eBay for $700 + $150 shipping makes it just a bit too much...
If someone knows where I coud find them in europe, it would be grateful!

yeah...kinda wondering, what happened.
Btw...I have a little bit of fogging in my left tail light, each time it is cold and rainy.
Right side is fine.
Anyone else?

How are these lights holding up for those of you that purchased them? Thinking of taking the plunge and purchasing a set.

I imagine that the lights USR sells are the same ones being sold on EBAY? I cannot imagine the demand is so large for 718 style lights for a 986 that there are a couple different manufactures out there making them. Anyone know for certain? If there is only one company making them and a few different sellers I guess it comes down to who you can get them from the cheapest to your door.

They’re all the same.
I’ve seen some reports on 986 Facebook groups of LED banks failing. The LEDs are not serviceable.
I can’t imagine trying to dig up the posts, so I have no evidence.
Aside from that, I haven’t heard any other complaints.
