problems with drop link replace

had no problem removing nuts from drop link top and bottom. bottom of link out fine but the top bolt would not slide out. used a drift to try and push it out but still no go. Is the strut binding up on the bolt to keep it from coming out? If so how do I remove without removing strut?

some of these definitely need a good whack to remove. Maybe try supporting the bottom of the hub with a jack just to remove any possible binding.

Usually a BFH is a bit Neanderthal, but perhaps in this case, just might be the ticket?
