How hard are chain tensioners to change

2001 S had a quick grind 1st cold start all the other starts were fine,isnt that the chain tensioners,.?? its a corner car lot sale 80.500 miles they want 9.990.00 ,some loose interior pieces,.but all cosmetic items seem fine,.?? Thanks

Rattle at start up is usually chain tensioners. Grind (like gears grinding) at start up is usually starter motor not disengaging due to worn solenoid (it will do this intermittently).

Yes, probably starter motor. In any case, a PPI is a must!

ok,..This noise was like when you start the car,but its already running,and you try to start it again
