Abnormal noise for a moment, yup. but not much after that. the center of the disc was completely separated from the outer. It was perfectly happy just spinning away int here. hahaha.

No, I'm not suggesting yours did this. In all my years, I've never seen another do this. But I HAVE had clutches that went "suddenly". But in every case, (other than the one in the photo) the car continued to drive just fine, you just couldn't disengage the clutch (nothing happened when you pressed the pedal)
