Cargo net for 986 Boxster

They were selling an official cargo net for the 986 on eBay and I picked it up. The one for my 981 and 718 has been invaluable since I daily drive these.

However, now that it’s here, as best as I can tell I’m going to have to disassemble my trunk to install it.

As best as I can tell, I’m going to need to disassemble the upper assembly of the rear cargo space and install it under the speakers?

Or am I missing something? Does anyone have this part? Can you show a picture of it installed?

I believe the cargo net was for use on early 986's that did not have the storage box.

^^ Correct. ^^

The cargo net was intended to be used in lieu (instead) of the speaker/storage compartment.

Thus, to use it as intended, you'd have to remove the speakers/storage compartment and then you can attach the cargo net to the engine cover carpet.

How much did you buy it for? I'm looking for one and might take it off your hands.

$50. Write me if you’re interested. It’s going to live in a drawer.

Do you still have the cargo net for the 986 or did you sell it? I may be interested.
