Have you thought about the 996 GT2 vent/grille? It flows with the shape of the hood the best. I can't comment on the cost or if it can even be bought separately though it may just be easier to buy a replica GT2 bumper for a 986 at that point.

$69 vs 4 to $500 for a cheap one. I think can make this look good or I won't do it.

I wasn't aware of the price difference. My thinking was that it would just be best to get something that is shaped for our hood, not a 997. What about a black sticker? Heres a Ruf bumper with what looks like a sticker in that area.

Not sure you are soliciting opinions on the look. I personally don’t like the one in the red car because it doesn’t follow the hood line very well. The one on the last car how it flows looks better to me.

Its going to be red so I think that will tone down that issue but Ill find out.
