Guys, I’m having the worst luck with this. Can’t even get the ****************ing wheel off. Is there some trick aside from taking all five lug nuts off that I don’t know about on this Boxster S?

Cig lighter is not for starting the car, just for powering the lock.

I don’t even know what I’m looking for, am I getting warm?

Here's a way to open it if the battery is completely dead, but it requires taking out the driver's seat and disconnecting the immobilizer box.

That was a nightmare, but at least I finally got the windows rolled up.

Between the headlight and front trunk well.
Maybe use a mirror to see if you can see it up in there?

This worked for me as well a couple of times on my '07 987 CS and also on a friends '07 911

I used 12V light that was already dead, cut the light portion off and applied 12V from an extra battery and managed to open the front trunk, since I was never able to find the emergency cable
