Dimension of wheel spat (rubber lip)

My car was missing most of the two wheel spats (996.504.503.00) so I made my own with home depot parts but I think they are a little too tall.

Before I put the car back down on the ground this season I want to trim them.
Would someone mind providing me with a height dimension for this part?

Thanks
