Passenger 996 bose subwoofer retrofit

Well my audio upgrade has turned into a government cost over run project. After extensive searching with not much happiness for a subwoofer solution, i found a 996 cabrio bose passenger footwell subwoofer with same color carpet as my boxster.

Question does anybody know how it mounts in the car? It should be same as a 996 i guess, but a picture would help me think over install.

Also is there enough room to use a .25” spacer on top of factory enclosure when installing oversize speaker? Want to get enclosures ready for speakers going to use .25” 6.5 adaptor bonded onto factory enclosure.

Plan is make it passive power it from alpine amp sub channel, going to test it with bose speakers if it sounds ok will leave otherwise going to pull guts fiberglass it closed and mount a 6.75” kicker sub or an 8” if there is enough volume. Will put female rca jacks so i can plugin connection or unplug easy and remove if needs arrise. Should look factory when i am finished.

Anybody following my other thread i have all my bits in shipping.
