Dome light bolts / Molly's???

Hey Guys,

I have been in the process of replacing the crappy dome light (with plastic clips) with the updated one with metal clips.... Still haven't found a source for the matching connector.... But still looking!),

I have a new fun issue.... Godzilla must have tightened the bolts down with an impact gun.... The Molly's that anchor the (2) dome light bolts are so squished/ starred..... That the torx dome light bolts won't hold them.... they won't dog down and just fall out..... Any idea how to replace them and would hardware store Mollys work to fix it! As the dome light housing holds the latch for the roof.... I REALY want this to be solid.....
