Best way to repaint brake calipers

My brakes are in good shape but cosmetically could use a fresh red repaint on the calipers. How have you guys done this job?

I know that lots of forum members have done it. Often the posts get buried in the What did you do with/to your Boxster today? thread.
Here's a common method that works well, keeping them mounted: Painted Calipers

I painted a set when I was due for rotors and a brake flush. It was easy to give them a thorough cleaning and prep, plug the lines and mask them:

Thanks for the links. I was planning to flush the brake fluid this winter. Sounds like to best way will be to pull the calipers to clean and paint prep them on the bench. I have a small filtered paint booth that will work well for the painting portion of the job. I just ordered the red caliper paint, clear coat and Porsche stickers. I have a power bleeder and DOT 4 brake fluid. I should be all set. Cheers. 2HE

I had good luck with VHT high temp paint in cans, did it right on car, just pulled the calipers and hung them from the spring with wire, took pads out and masked everything I didn't want to paint. Bought high gloss red, white and clear. Also I found stencils on eBay for the Porsche logo, That was the trickiest part, you have to pull the stencil off before the white paint dries( but it takes several coats) then I waited several hours to clear coat.
