Broken hinge on Console-Armrest Door for 2000 986

I don’t know how the hell it broke, but the armrest door is suddenly detached. The plastic hinge on both sides have snapped. Is there a fix outside of replacing the entire console and door? Glue doesn’t seem likely....

Crappy system, yes? I repaired mine with Superglue and baking soda (google it) and it seems to be holding (tho the lock is broken, too.) I don't use the "oddment tray" much tho. The metal hinge in the other thread seems to be a great idea.

Btw, I had my console out to put a new parking brake switch in. Doing the fix is a lot easier on a kitchen counter, whatever you decide to do.
