Sorry, but if you can't see that, you're friggin blind. Those lines are absolutely horrid.
I agree with you should be a proffesional job! I think they were maybe a bit upset, and didnt did a rush job on them second round. Its not impossible to tape em, but time consuming and figgity. I know I grew up in a body shop and worked in one for 5 years before the military.

You shoukd insist on a quality job.

Well, it could be, that they were a little upset. It depends on what they said beforehand: Options

1.) "No, we don't tape & paint grooves, the outcome will not represent our shop's quality." --> paint job rejected
2.) "We have to warn you, we won't be held responsible for the result, if you insist on us doing the job" --> paint job rejected at first = Will be upset, no way of doing it better, if you insinst on the bottom line
3.) "Sure, no problem" --> A re-redo for free

I would take a black marker, run around the grooves and job done
okay, and if that fails, I would ask them what they were thinking

I say fuch it, I think they look great and not many will even notice it once on the car.

Those look great. No doubt you will soon forget about the paint after you have put a few km's on them.

Looks great TRK, obviously my cup of tea
Black center caps are always an option (that's is the original Fuchs design). I still have my black Fuchs caps, but tend 55:45 towards silver caps atm

I still remember the time, when I was one of the first in Germany WANTING Fuchs wheels on my Boxster and a lot of people where in horror…"that cannot look good", "that is just not Right"..."they only belong to a classic 911".
But I said "BS" and was totally sure about them, determined and perseverant, contacted Fuchswheels and some specialists to get them TÜV approved. They still have my Boxster on their German Fuchswheels website...

How are these holding up? Contemplating getting four 8.5” to run square and be able to rotate. Is the weight noticeable?

I like the look. Running 8.5x18 12mm spacer front and 10x18 rear with 7mm spacers.

I love the fuchs wheels, it gives a Porsche such a classic look. A friend of mine has a 993 black on black with the exact same wheels, he has the Porsche logo on the center caps, it looks very sharp.

And for something completely different! I found these these 18-inch 987 Cayman S wheels on Kijiji this spring. Perfect fit.

Peter, those Cayman wheels look good. I am usually an originalist when it comes to wheels, but I was thinking about a set of those for my '01S.
