How to Properly Check Coolant Level?

As I store my 01S for the Winter, I double checked the oil and coolant level.

I noticed the coolant level is at the Min mark. I hadn't driven the car in a week.

My Bentley Manual is not clear on how to check the coolant level. Should it be at the MIN mark when cold? Should I add coolant to the MAX when cold or is the proper time to check the coolant after it's been driven?

When cold, the coolant tank level should be about midway between minimum and maximum.

Great! Then I can add some coolant while in storage without worrying it is overfilled when I start it up this spring.

If you add coolant or distilled water, I would recommend driving for 2 days (when you take it out of storage) with the bleeder valve open to make sure any air bubbles can escape the system.

An interesting thought. Will any fluid leak out with the bleeder valve open?

It shouldn't leak with the bleeder valve open.
